Superlight ProjectCaseStudy Clyde Creek Primary

CLYDE CREEK PRIMARY SCHOOL

The challenge Clyde Creek Primary School is an award-winning education facility that needed linear lighting.

The school is built as a group of buildings around a central outdoor space. This design needed smart lighting that could work in many different spaces. Superlight was engaged to supply luminaires for classrooms and learning spaces. They needed modern products to fit with the style of the new school. The local community helped design the school

with spaces for students to: • be active and let off energy

• engage with natural outdoor areas • access modern rooms that support different subjects

With large rooms, our team knew this wasn’t a job for off-the-shelf luminaires from a shop. It needed flexible options to allow lighting to reach all spaces in the required rooms at length. View the school website here.

Intensity levels

LED vs fluorescent lighting Students showed more engaged participation behaviours under LEDs compared to fluorescent lighting.

LED & colour temperature

Intensity levels between 350-1000 lux combined with temperatures of 4000-5250k support:

LED lighting, especially at higher colour temperatures, enhance cognitive performance.
