Correct Installation Guidelines for LED Mounting Profiles

Heatsinks & Thermal Management

Follow the procedure below for assembly of aluminium LED mounting profiles systems:

When installing in environments with large variations in temperature and/or operating length of more than 2.5M the use of metallic mounting surfaces is necessary to provide a heatsink Installing LED strips with a compatible HLP mourning profiles is always recommended. Wherever possible avoid installing LED strips on insulate materials such as plastic or timber.

The LED mounting profile is installed first. It should be fixed in place professionally and securely.

Where two or more segments of profile are joined to form a longer length, the segments must be butt ‐ joined neatly & squarely. Fix the two segments very securely so there is no movement or irregularity at the join. Afte profile segments are fixed, install the LED strip into the profile in accordance with handling & installation instructions.

To measure for proper heat dissipation the TC (junction temperature) can be measured. After 30 mins of continuous operation, the TC temperature should not exceed 75°
